As a premium, design-led renovation company, we specialize in large-scale residential transformations across Calgary, with an approach built around clear communication, careful preparation, and a higher standard of execution.
Why We Built a Better Way

Meet Kyle
Kavaleer Renovations is led by Kyle Clandfield, a Calgary builder and business owner who believes a successful renovation takes more than skilled construction alone. It takes clear communication, strong leadership, and the right people involved from the very beginning.
Born and raised in Calgary, Kyle has a strong understanding of the homes, neighbourhoods, and expectations that shape renovation projects across the city. His background in both hands-on construction and complex project leadership continues to shape the organized, high-standard approach Kavaleer brings to every renovation. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife Tamara, their three children, and their dogs.
The Beginnings of the Business
I attended Bishop O’Byrne High School right here in Calgary. After high school, I took a summer job with a small concrete company. Then, I enrolled at Mount Royal College in the Bachelor of Commerce U of C transfer program and landed a full-time job finishing commercial warehouse floors and high rises. I would attend school in the morning and afternoon, change into work clothes in a public bathroom and spend the evening working. Three years of this took its toll on me, and I made the difficult decision to put post-secondary on hold and open my own business.
After a few successful years, my business partner and I decided to close our small concrete company. He wanted to move away, and I wanted to try my hand in directional drilling. I succeeded in the field and ended up in a managerial position. I coordinated 50+ private consultants on drilling rigs throughout Western Canada before leaving to spend more time with my family. Leaving the O&G industry behind was a scary decision, but I knew I had a unique skill set that would benefit the building industry.
I started as a concrete, landscaping and exterior business, but clients kept requesting quotes for total building packages. It wasn’t long before our valued relationships with trades and design professionals and our proprietary in-house procedures perfectly positioned us as a large-scale renovation and custom home building company. Today, I am fortunate to have exceptional clients, coworkers, family and friends.
